Putting your dog in a kennel is one thing. Putting your dog in a loving environment is another. All the dogs at our kennels in Dolores are able to play outside for long periods of time. We ensure that your dog will not be molested by any other dog in the kennel and will enjoy a happy and healthy stay.

Digs 4 Dogs has been established on the Costa Blanca since early 2008. Our dog boarding kennels are located in the quiet countryside of Dolores, a small town located between Alicante and Torrevieja on the Costa Blanca of Spain. There is ample space for exercising your dog whatever the size or breed. We have created a purpose built building which will incorporate 10 individually tiled and painted dog kennels which are easy to clean and to keep clean during the entire stay of your precious dog. There are also two internal kennels for small dogs in winter.  There is no visibility between kennels at all so dogs will not annoy each other or spend all day barking. We have a very quiet kennels to date especially through the night.

We ask that you bring with you the food that your dog normally eats. We will make sure that your dog remains on the same feeding pattern that he or she is used to thereby ensuring optimimum wellness. We cater for dogs on special diets for which a small price supplement is added depending upon any additional work involved. This also applies to medication  i.e., tablets administered in food and diabetic Injections. Any dogs requiring other types of injections must be considered on a one to one basis along with consultation with a vet to monitor your dog's condition during its stay at our kennels.

We currently have four fabulous dogs of our own. They are Rocco, known as Rocket or Delboy, a rescued Heinz 57, Carley, known as Sausage Lady a Pedigree Teckel or Sausage Dog, and Pippa, known as Bubbles but pronounced Boobelies, a rescued Heinz 57.

We take great care of our dogs and reflect this in the care of our guest dogs. All dogs in the kennels are treated equally and whilst our own will always be our favourites we have affection for all the dogs whilst in our care. We invite anyone to come and visit before deciding to let their dog board with us at our kennels in Dolores. The kennels do not operate set opening times as we dont want to put you in the position of not being able to access your dogs exactly when you want to. Drop off and pick up times are all by agreement between ourselves, it is important however to keep to the times agreed so that we can adjust when other dogs are let in and out for exercise.

We are now connected with three veterinary practices, all within easy reach of our boarding kennels and all of them have a 24 hour emergency call out facility if required. We must insist that every dog that stays at our kennels has up to date injections. Passports with full medical card are preferred but not essential .


We currently have one voluntary helper called Janet. She is a wonderfully caring lady,  a massive dog lover and works here simply because of her love for animals.
